Mr. Rocky Riley

Mr. Riley joined Knox County Schools in 2001 and taught at South-Doyle and West high schools. In 2007, he became a Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum supervisor for Knox County Schools. He began his career in administration in 2016 when he was named assistant principal of West High. He has been an assistant principal at Career Magnet Academy and at South-Doyle Middle School. In 2023, he was named principal of Bonny Kate Elementary and in May of 2025 he was named principal at South Doyle High School.   Mr. Riley holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource development with a concentration in technology education from the University of Tennessee, and a master’s degree in education from Lincoln Memorial University.

Mr. Cameron Molchan

Assistant Prinicipal-Curriculum / Academy of Business and Health Science

Cameron Molchan was born in 1971 in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2000 with a double major in English and philosophy. He has also earned master’s degrees in English Literature and secondary education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2003 and 2005, respectively.  He earned his Ed.S. at Lincoln Memorial University in 2020 and currently resides in Knoxville, TN with his wife, Julie, and his son, Juneau, where he serves as Curriculum Principal at South-Doyle High School. Prior to working at SDHS in administration, Mr. Molchan worked as a magnet facilitator at Career Magnet Academy, a master teacher at South-Doyle High School, a lead teacher at Austin-East Magnet High School, and a lecturer in the English Department at the University of Tennessee. Before getting involved in education, Mr. Molchan worked as a sauté chef, a potter, a roofer, a landscaper, a ditch digger, and a canvasser.

Mrs. Katy Reasor

Assistant Principal/ Academy of Business and Health Science

Katy Reasor is an assistant principal at South Doyle High School with more than 18 years of experience in education. She has served as a teacher, instructional coach, and school leader in Knox County, always focused on building positive relationships and helping students succeed. She earned her EdS. in Instructional Leadership and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University and a Bachelor’s in Child Development from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville

Eric Turner

Assistant Principal / Academy of Engineering and Fabrication 

Mr. Turner has been an educator in Knox County Schools for 20 years. He earned his Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership at Lincoln Memorial University in 2019. Mr. Turner also earned his Masters of Science in Special Education (2009), and Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in both History (2006) and Psychology (2006), all from the University of Tennessee.

Mr. Turner Has spent his entire career in education serving students in the Knox County Schools System. He began his career as a special education teacher at Ridgedale School (2006-2011) before teaching special education at Central High School (2011-2014), and Powell High School (2014-2019) where he also served as special education department chair and Lead teacher. In 2019, Mr. Turner moved in to administration and served as Assistant Administrator at Austin East Magnet High School (2019). Mr. Turner Moved to South Doyle High School in 2020 as an Assistant Principal where he continues to serve today.

Dr. Denise McGaha

Assistant Principal/ Freshmen Academy 

Dr. McGaha has devoted more than 30 years to education as both a teacher and administrator. She earned her Doctor of Education from the University of the Cumberlands (2023) and holds multiple degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, including an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership (2009), an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction (1997), and a B.A. in English Literature (1995). She also began her academic journey at Roane State Community College, completing an Associate of Arts in 1993.

A lifelong learner and educator, Dr. McGaha taught high school English at Clinton High School in Anderson County Schools from 1996 to 2008, also serving one year as interim Assistant Principal. In 2009, she transitioned into school leadership within Knox County Schools, serving as Assistant Principal at Powell High School (2009–2014), Gibbs High School (2014–2018), and currently at South-Doyle High School (2018–present). Throughout her career, she has supported both teachers and students with a positive, safe learning environment and by ensuring meaningful coursework is offered to prepare students for both college and career.

Mr. Daryl Chandler

Assistant Principal/ Freshmen Academy 

Mr. Chandler has been an educator in with over 40 years of experience. He earned his Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership at Lincoln Memorial University in 2003 and his Bachelors from ETSU and his Masters of Education from the University of Tennessee.  Mr. Chandler served as athletic director and assistant principal at Karns High School from 2003 until 2010 when he then returned to South Knoxville.

Mrs. Traci Angelini

Administrative Assistant / Freshman Academy

Traci Angelini has worked in public education for 20 years.  She holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education with an emphasis in English from Tennessee Technological University and a master's degree in instructional leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.  Prior to joining the team at SDHS, she worked in the district's ELA office as the region 5 content facilitator.  Additionally, she has taught at several area schools, including Gresham Middle and Halls High, where she chaired the ELA department.  Ms. Angelini has a daughter in 4^th grade, and in her free time she sings in a local rock band and cheers on her favorite formula 1 team (Go Williams!).  She is so excited to become a part of the South Doyle Community and meet all of the families that call SDHS home.    

Dr. Doug James

Administrative Assistant / Academy of Engineering and Fabrication

Dr. Doug James got his undergraduate degree from the University of TN, Knoxville, his MFA from the University of Louisville, and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Carson Newman.  He began his teaching career at Austin-East Magnet High School where not only did he serve as a lead teacher and evaluator, but also his theatre department won multiple state titles and went on to win second in the nation with the National Speech and Debate Association. Prior to being an administrator at South Doyle High School, Dr. James came from Career Magnet Academy where he served as the Dean of Students.  There, he served as the administrator for the 10^th and 12^th grades, Athletic Director, Testing Coordinator, and also assisted with success for Dual Enrollment Students. He has also taught Assessment, Educational Technology, and Introduction to Education at Maryville College.  He currently serves on dissertation committees for Carson Newman's doctoral program and is the Region 3 Director for the Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League (THSSDL). He loves to serve as a contributor to Fantasy of Trees (raising money for Children's Hospital), read, perform/direct in community theatre around town, and play trivia. 

Mr. Randy Moore

Randy Moore was born in Knoxville, Tn and graduated from Sevier County High School.  He received his college degrees from University of Tennessee and Lincoln Memorial University.  Coach Moore was a Varsity Girls and Boys basketball coach for 29 years in both Tennessee and Florida as well as an Athletic Director in Florida and now at South Doyle High School.  He is married to Madison Moore and has three sons, Stetson, Braxton, and Slayden.
